About this site

A dedication, and a note on how this site was restored.

Dedication

scths.com was created and developed by C. Thomas (Tom) Hogg, a member of the Syracuse Central Technical High School Class of 1961. In his own words in the site’s footer: “Created and Developed by C. Thomas Hogg, Class ’61.” The class Steering Committee listed him as its “Web Master.”

The domain was registered in July 2001. The earliest archived copy (March 2002) is a page “Updated August 5, 2001 – 12 days to reunion,” and the last is from December 2019. Over those years the site went from a hand-built page announcing the 40th reunion to a full class site with a roster, a memorial page, photo galleries, class news, and a section for the Class of 1960. At the 45th reunion a classmate wrote about “how Tom Hogg keeps us all in touch through our website.”

The class couples list includes “Tom Hogg & Charlene Woodworth (’60).” Charlene Woodworth Hogg created The Recorder for the Class of 1960’s 50th reunion (see the Class of 1960 page).

This restoration is dedicated to Tom, and to the classmates his site kept together. In memory of Charles “Tom” Hogg →

The scths.com website was originally created and maintained by Tom Hogg (C. Thomas Hogg, Class ’61), and his son Chuck Hogg has maintained it since.

How this site was restored

Everything here comes from copies of scths.com saved by the Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine between 2002-03-14 and 2019-12-08. Names, dates, captions and texts are reproduced from those captures. Nothing has been added about any person.

A faithful copy of the old site as it was archived is kept separately with this restoration.
